Founded in 1998 with the mission of strengthening the relationship between Portugal and Latin America through Knowledge, Culture, and Economy, Casa da América Latina challenged us to design a simpler, more modern website aligned with their values and strategic vision.
This digital transformation also brought forward the need to optimize the brand’s logo — enhancing its performance in digital environments while bringing the institution closer to a more contemporary visual universe.
A complex logo no longer reflected a simple, accessible experience.
New Proposal: Simplify, Highlight, and Preserve Purpose
Our approach was to simplify and refine the existing identity while preserving its essence. The goal was to ensure the logo stands out across all communication materials and adapts seamlessly to web interfaces. This redesign makes Casa da América Latina’s visual universe more human, approachable, and coherent, maintaining a strong link to its cultural and diplomatic mission.
From Brand to Website
The same principles that guided the brand refresh were translated into the website’s design and structure.
We developed a clean and intuitive interface, supported by a modular design system that ensures consistency across all pages. The information architecture was reorganized to improve accessibility and content discovery, emphasizing Casa da América Latina’s three key pillars — Knowledge, Culture, and Economy — in a clear and engaging way.
The visual language embraces simplicity, clarity, and adaptability, allowing content and imagery to take center stage while maintaining visual harmony. Responsive layouts and optimized components ensure seamless performance across all devices, reflecting the brand’s evolution toward a more dynamic, digital, and user-focused presence.
